So I know it’s only Tuesday. But like me, I’m sure you are already working for the weekend!!!! Isn’t that how the song lyric goes?
Have you checked out the Location Location Location page yet to start planning your weekend?
Well, if you haven’t, Option #1 – Centennial Park on West End is going to be one of the places to be as they feature the 42nd American Artisan Festival Friday through Sunday. And we hear rumblings that there is going to be quite a fleet of food trucks there for the weekend.
The Festival is OUTDOORS (rain or shine) and runs from noon to 7 PM on Friday, 10 AM to 7 PM on Saturday, and 10 AM to 6 PM on Sunday.
Did we mention that the festival is FREE?????? There will be booths for the kids, arts and crafts, and all styles of music from pop to bluegrass happening in Musician’s Corner.
Option #2 – Marathon Music Works at 1402 Clinton Street is hosting “The Porter Flea.” This too is an arts and crafts show. The festival will have live DJs spinning on the Ones and Twos and will ALSO feature a fleet of food trucks!!!! This arts and crafts show is probably going to be on the “trendier” side than the American Artisan Festival. The Porter Flea is featuring some of Nashville’s up and comers in the arts and crafts arena focusing more on the indie craft movement.
The Porter Flee is INDOORS and is on Saturday from 11 AM to 6 PM. This event is ALSO FREE!!!!
Option #3 – Hit both events. The American Artisan Festival runs for 3 Days. So you can hit it on either Friday or Sunday or both and hit The Porter Flea on Saturday!
Now doesn’t that sound like something worth looking forward to this weekend??? Arts, Crafts, Music, and Food Trucks…Lots and Lots of Food Trucks!!!
