Great Food Truck Race Comes To Nashville

This Sunday, September 16th at 8 PM (Nashville Time, Ya’ll!), The Great Food Truck Race comes to Nashville.  Well, technically they came through back the weekend of May 31st.  The final four trucks made their way from Arkansas to Nashville and only three trucks made their way out of Nashville.  While you will find no spoilers here, it isn’t a spoiler to let you know that the final four trucks that made it to Nashville are Pop-A-Waffle, Nonna’s Kitchenette, Seoul Sausage, and Momma’s Grizzly Grub.

A somewhat recap of the first 4 episodes has Seoul Sausage (a trio of 3 Korean-Americans) winning 3 out of the 4 episodes with Nonna’s Kitchenette (3 sassy Jersey girls) cooking up Nonna’s recipes to sneak and win that 4th episode.  Pop-A-Waffle and Momma’s Grizzly Grub have both been in the final 2 on several occassions.  Pop-A-Waffle actually had the lowest sales one week.  However, they were saved having won immunity from one of Tyler’s challenges.  Momma’s Grizzly Grub had a grizzly experience in Arkansas causing damage to City of Fayetteville property.  Luckily the Mayor of Fayatteville did not charge them for the entire amount of the damage and only for the insurance deductible.  They were also helped out by Coast of Atlanta’s poor sales.  They enter Nashville having barely squeaked out of Arkansas.

There was a lot of excitement when the trucks came through.  There was lots of buzz surrounding a few of the trucks.  I won’t name names.  But if you have been keeping up with the race at all on Food Network then it will be no surprise to you at all.

So make sure to tune in and see our city featured in The Great Food Truck Race!!!  You may even see some of your favorite food truck owners and chefs out there supporting the Great Food Truck Race Trucks!!!!!  Plus we hear that Tyler hit up a few of Nashville’s famed hot chicken joints.
